Black & White Baseball Player Team-Issue Photo Postcards Collection Approximately 25 B&W team-issued photo postcards and promotional photos from the 1960s-1980s. Heavy on St. Louis Cardinals with multiple player portraits featuring the classic bird-on-bat logo. Also includes Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, and Houston Astros players. Players identified include: John Candelaria (Pirates, larger format), Larry Demery (Pirates), Paul Assenmacher, Steve Carlton, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock (Cardinals), Norm Miller (Houston Astros, Outfielder), Terry Cornutt (Giants), and multiple additional Cardinals players. Condition: Mixed. Some photos are clean and sharp, others show age toning, edge wear, soft corners, and light creasing. A few have surface scuffs. Candelaria photo is larger format and in good shape. Most Cardinals team-issue cards are standard postcard size. The Cardinals' photography department in the 1970s was basically 'stand here, look serious, try not to squint.' And honestly? It worked.
