Antique Advertising Ephemera Lot: Allen & Ginter Richmond Gem Cigarette Card, Bull Durham Tobacco Die-Cut, King Arthur Flour Tag, Three Pieces (1) Allen & Ginter Richmond Gem Cigarettes Advertising Card, Late 1800s, Richmond Virginia USA. Features a color lithograph portrait of a fashionable woman in a wide-brimmed hat. Text reads Allen & Ginter, Cigarettes and Tobacco, Richmond Gem, Richmond Straight Cut No. 1. Original string hanger attached. Approximately 3x5 inches. (2) Bull Durham Genuine Durham Smoking Tobacco Die-Cut Cardboard Sign, New Size 5 Cents. Features a vivid color lithograph of a bull head holding a package of Genuine Durham Smoking Tobacco in its mouth. Green circular background. Approximately 6 inches across. (3) King Arthur Flour Circular Hanging Tag, color lithograph of a knight on horseback with sword and shield against an orange moon/circle background. Original string hanger attached. Approximately 3-4 inches diameter. Condition: Allen & Ginter card has corner wear, slight bending, and 130+ years of toning to the paper but the portrait and text remain clear. The Bull Durham die-cut has a small edge chip at the upper left but the colors are remarkably vivid for its age. King Arthur Flour tag is the cleanest piece with only minor edge wear and the string still intact. All three pieces are flat, no major creases or tears. A bull, a knight, and a Victorian lady walk into an auction. There is no punchline. There is only bidding. This lot was described by AI that has never smoked Durham, baked with King Arthur, or worn a hat that large.
