Hand-carved eagle figure crafted from a dense hardwood, likely ironwood, a material prized in Mexican folk carving, particularly among Seri artisans of Sonora, known for their finely detailed animal sculptures carved from the naturally dense, richly grained ironwood tree. The eagle is shown perched with head turned upward, wings folded with carved feather detailing along the back. The figure retains a natural, unfinished burl-like base showcasing the raw wood grain and texture, contrasting with the smooth, polished carving of the bird itself. Measures approximately 5" H x 2.5" W x 3" L. Condition: Overall good vintage condition. Wear commensurate with age. See photos. We do our best to examine each item closely, but small flaws or imperfections can be missed. Dimensions: H: 5", W: 2.5", L: 3"
