A wonderfully sculptural antique umbrella frame with a substantial Victorian/Edwardian burl wood handle, showcasing rich, carved knotty detail and a nicely turned finial end. The wire rib framework radiates outward from the handle, measuring 36 1/2 inches in total length, representing the skeletal structure of what would have been a fully covered period umbrella or parasol before the fabric canopy was lost to time. The handle's natural wood character and quality period construction make this a striking display piece even without its original covering. A fascinating find for collectors of Victorian umbrellas and parasols, antique wooden handles, period hardware, or those seeking an unusual sculptural decorative object. Condition: Frame is uncovered; original fabric canopy is not present. Burl wood handle shows lovely natural patina and texture, shown in photos. Wire ribs appear largely intact though please examine closely for any bent, missing, or detached spokes. We do our best to note visible flaws, but some imperfections may not be captured. Keywords: antique umbrella frame, Victorian parasol handle, burl wood umbrella handle, antique wire umbrella ribs, Edwardian umbrella frame, vintage parasol frame, antique wood handle collectible, Victorian umbrella hardware, decorative umbrella skeleton, period umbrella frame display Dimensions: W: 3", L: 36.5"
