Description: A charming antique celluloid elephant figurine, likely made in Japan in the 1940s, unmarked but consistent with that era's celluloid toy/novelty production. Measuring 2 3/4" long by 2" tall, this little elephant is nicely detailed with textured hide, expressive ears, and a curled trunk with small painted tusks. The glossy finish and warm brown coloring give it real charm as a vintage collectible. A lovely find for collectors of antique celluloid toys, vintage elephant figurines, Japanese collectibles, or early plastic/novelty animal figures. Condition: Overall good antique condition for celluloid, a notoriously fragile and flammable material.
