A set of twenty-four Japanese porcelain plates molded in a stylized fish form with a seafoam glaze. The pieces are decorated with embossed scales and hand-painted gilt and red highlights. Each base bears a green and gold foil label readingPAULS EP&CO NEW YORK EST 1898 GIFTS MADE IN JAPAN. Each measures 6.5 x 6 inches.The set is in very good condition with minor, age-appropriate rubbing to the gilt edges. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs are noted.
