Two Primitive Wooden Butter Making Tools

This lot features a bell-shaped wooden butter mold with a plunger stamp hand-carved in a wheat sheaf motif. The accompanying wooden paddle is designed with a flat back and a deeply ribbed face for working butter. Both components areconstructed from a warm-toned hardwood and exhibit a naturally aged patina. The butter paddle measures 10 inches long.The tools show signs of historical domestic use including surface wear, variations in wood tone, and minor localized staining. The plunger mechanism remains complete and functional.
