This fine art piece is a large original antique etching capturing a rustic European village scene. The composition showcases an old unpaved lane bordered by detailed stone cottages covered in creeping vines, with figures walking near an archway and chickens foraging in the foreground. Representing a collaborative period print, the margin features a pencil signature on the left by the notable British landscape artist Henry John Yeend King (1855–1924), who painted the original scene, and a pencil signature on the right by the French master engraver Camille Fonce (b. 1867), who executed the image onto the print matrix. A subtle pencil-sketched floral remarque is located in the bottom center margin between the two signatures. The print is in good vintage condition, exhibiting natural toning appropriate for its age, and comes professionally housed in a dark stained wood frame with a double mat layer under glass. Artwork; approximately 25" X 30" including frame. Located in hallway. Must bring your own packing materials, boxes and help to load items.
