Original color etching by listed Austrian artist Josef Eidenberger depicting a picturesque Salzburg church square beneath a large spreading tree, with figures gathered near the building and the city’s fortress visible beyond. Eidenberger studied graphic arts in Vienna and became widely known for his finely detailed architectural and landscape etchings. Inscribed “Salzburg – Kirchenplatz u. Festung” within the plate and pencil signed “Eidenberger” below. Presented beneath glass with layered white and dark brown matting in a walnut-finished wood frame. ; approximately 15.5" X 17" including frame. print; artwork; Located in primary bedroom.
