J.P. Estrella played three seasons for the Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball team (2023-2026) under coach Rick Barnes, developing from a reserve piece into a highly efficient starting center before transferring to the Michigan Wolverines. Over his collegiate career in Knoxville, the 6-foot-11 forward/center from Maine appeared in 61 games (13 starts), helping Tennessee achieve an 82-29 record and three consecutive NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearances.
