Pair of Vintage Dark Wood Wall Candle Sconces

Updated September 15, 2026

Matching pair of vintage dark wooden wall candle sconces featuring elongated decorative backplates with curved, shaped tops and bottoms and raised beveled edges. Each sconce has a projecting semicircular shelf with an upright rounded support and a turned wooden candle cup designed to hold a taper candle or glass sconce. The dark brown finish highlights the natural-looking wood grain and gives the pair a traditional Colonial and rustic appearance. Made of woood, including the backplates, shelves, supports, and turned candle cups. Finished with a dark brown stain with a walnut or mahogany tone. The backs have drilled mounting holes and small metal fasteners used in the construction. Dimensions are approximately 15""h x 5""w x 4""d. Pre-owned condition with noticeable cosmetic wear. Both sconces show surface scratches, scuffs, small nicks, finish wear, and scattered marks consistent with age and previous use. One sconce has a particularly noticeable large lighter area of finish loss/discoloration on the front, with additional uneven coloration visible elsewhere. Edge wear and small abrasions are present around the backplates and shelves. The candle cups also show finish wear and discoloration. Backs show mounting holes, construction marks, scratches, and general wear. No obvious major cracks or missing structural pieces. Overall, the pair remains intact and displays well, with a naturally aged, rustic appearance.
