COVERED EWER. <br>Height:34cm (13.39in) , Width:24cm (9.45in) Pear?shaped ewer complete with original lid, featuring slender curved spout and scroll?decorated handle, supported by a substantial foot?ring. The body is richly painted in underglaze?blue with interlocking hibiscus scrolls with full?blossomed flowers and spreading leaves. Lotus motifs adorn the neck, while the spout, handle and lid are covered in scrolling foliage. A band of swirling wave patterns encircles the lower body. The cobalt blue presents rich saturated tone with well?layered brushwork. The unglazed foot rim exhibits natural aged russet firing discoloration.
