PATTERNED JADE POT. <br>Height:10cm (3.94in) , Width:16.5cm (6.50in) , Weight:640g (1.411lb) Carved from a single block of fine Hetian white jade with mild, even lustre. The teapot is elegantly proportioned. Its lid is modelled in chrysanthemum?petal form with a plump knob. The body is fully relief?carved with scrolling western?lotus motifs featuring luxuriant winding foliage. The circular foot is open?worked with scrolling grasses, presenting delicate openwork effect. Spout and handle are well?balanced and finely polished. With thin uniform walls, it demonstrates supreme Qing?court jade?carving techniques including hollowing?out, relief carving and openwork.
