MOTHER-AND-CHILD CHILONG BUTTON SQUARE SEAL. Height:11cm (4.33in) , Width:3cm (1.18in) , Weight:170g (0.375lb) Carved from Qing?period Shoushan Tianhuang stone, this square seal features mellow dense texture, rich orange?yellow hue and pure grain coated with thick luminous patina. The knob is finely open?work carved with mother and young chilong dragons chasing pearl, the dragons twist nimbly with delicate scaled claws, presenting multi?layered exquisite craftsmanship. Long imperial?inscribed calligraphic inscriptions with reign mark and auxiliary seal are incised neatly on seal stele. The square seal face bears four?character vermilion seal script framed by double?dragon border, in dignified powerful style with deep?cut grooves. Aged seal?paste remains on surface. It is a high?grade important Qing?dynasty scholar?studio treasure integrating precious Tianhuang material, sophisticated open?work carving, dated epigraph and court?style seal?cutting.
