"Barra" 2024 Kelpie Male

Updated September 14, 2026

**As described by the Vendor**   "Barra" 2024 Kelpie Male Date of Birth: 09/11/2024 Sire: N/A Dam: N/A Registered: No Microchip #: No Desexed: No Vaccinations: No Suited To: Cattle & Goats Category: Working/Going Barra is a smokey blue Kelpie who spent his first 12 months as a pet. I received a call from friends asking if I would take him on and see whether he would work livestock. From the start, he showed plenty of natural ability. Although I don't know where his working lines originate from, his natural ability suggests he comes from a good line of working stock. He is a very energetic dog who approaches his work with plenty of enthusiasm and drive. The faster the cattle are moving, the more he is in his element. He will cast either way and will cast blind when needed, and will locate and retrieve cattle. Generally a silent worker but will bark under pressure from rough stock that have bailed up. Works off horse, quad bike and ute. Silent in kennel and has a good, easy-going temperament and gets along with other dogs. Used for mustering cattle and educating weaners. Started on a small herd of goats; suspect he would evolve into sheep work without a problem.
