An unmarked white glazed ceramic lidded canister in the novelty form of a stylized pig head. The piece features a monochrome white glossy glaze over relief-molded details defining the snout, ears, and closed eyes. The interior of the jar is finished in a contrasting dark charcoal grey-blue glaze. The base features an unglazed circular footring with no readable maker's marks or factory stamps.Height: 8.5 inchesDepth: 7 inchesThe canister is in good vintage condition with the general character of light shelf wear. Minor surface scuffs and grey rub marks are present on the exterior white glaze. The unglazed footring shows heavy brown staining and some kiln grit. Minor inherent glaze pinholes and small manufacturing specks are visible on the interior charcoal glaze. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs are present.
