A vintage two-piece ceramic cookie jar depicting the Sesame Street character Big Bird sitting in a nest. The side of the nest base is embossed with the copyright mark and text reading MUPPETS INC. The inner rim of the base features an incised number 971.Height: 13 inchesBase Width: 6.5 inchesThe cookie jar is in fair overall vintage condition. Significant flaking and loss to the yellow cold-painted finish is visible on both the head and body sections, revealing the darker ceramic body underneath. The brown nest base shows scattered finish wear and scuffing. No structural chips, cracks, or repairs are visible to the ceramic body. The lid remains properly seated on the base.
