Disney Dumbo Turnabout Ceramic Cookie Jar

A vintage two-piece glazed ceramic cookie jar featuring the Disney character Dumbo in a turnabout design. The jar consists of a lid in the shape of the elephant's head and a base representing the seated body. One side shows Dumbo holding a small red book with WD on the cover. The underside is incised with the characters TURNABOUT DUMBO © Walt Disney. The piece is finished with a cream glaze and cold-painted accents in red, blue, yellow, and black.Height: 14 inchesWidth: 6.5 inchesThe cookie jar is in fair vintage condition. Significant flaking and loss are present on the cold-painted decoration, most notably on the red ear interiors, blue collar, and hat. A network of fine crazing is visible across the glazed surfaces of both pieces. The interior of the base shows some dark residue and typical shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs are present in the ceramic body.
