This color lithographic print illustrates a scene from the classic children's series, depicting Babar the Elephant in a photography studio. The elephant is shown seated on an ornate rug, dressed in a signature green suit with a bowler hat and white spats. In the foreground, a photographer in a striped suit operates a large-format camera with red bellows. The print includes a passage of cursive text and the title THE STORY OF BABAR in green and black block lettering at the base. The work is presented in a black frame under glass.Frame: 23 1/4 x 17 inchesThe print is in excellent vintage condition with no visible foxing, staining, or fading. The black frame is in very good condition, showing only minor surface scuffs from handling. The brown paper dust cover on the reverse has a single small puncture near the top center. Hanging wire remains secure.
