A Continental ecclesiastical silver statue crown, late 19th century. The openwork crown of repoussé floral and foliate design with scrolling ornament rising to six arched straps converging beneath a globus and dove finial, symbolizing the Holy Spirit. The lower band decorated with geometric and foliate motifs, the interior retaining attachment tabs for mounting to a devotional sculpture. 16.09 ozt. 8 1/2" x 7 1/2". Condition: Repair to five joints.
