with a Red-Roofed Cottage, 20th century. Oil on canvas, signed “A. Bonnamour” at the lower left. Associated with the Lyonnaise school, Bonnamour depicts a cottage surrounded by dense vegetation beneath an expansive yellow-green sky, using thick, vigorously applied impasto and a vibrant palette of emerald, turquoise, orange, ochre and deep green to give the landscape an expressive, nearly abstract character.
