A Victorian Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins (English, 1807-1894) gilt bronze desk ornament. Cobra form body with pen holder and circular mercury thermometer with hook for pocket watch and compass. Top opens to reveal container. Embossed into side and inside "BW HAWKINS PUBLISHED FEBY 5TH 1850." 8" x 5 6/8" x 5 3/4"
