A red and black Archimede Seguso Murano Glass Duck belongs to the highly desirable Rosso Nero (Red and Black) design series, a dramatic mid-century aesthetic pioneered by the master glassmaker. An original oval foil paper label that reads "Archimede Seguso - Murano - Made in Italy" or a red scalloped foil label (used largely in the 1950s). An authentic Archimede Seguso Murano Glass Duck is a highly collectible mid-century modern art glass figurine and paperweight. Crafted by legendary Italian master glassmaker Archimede Seguso (1909–1999) in Murano, Italy, these elegant waterfowl figurines are famous for their heavy, solid weight, high gloss finish, and complex glass-blowing techniques.
