Robert Eickholt (born 1947) is a highly prominent American studio glass artist based in Columbus, Ohio, who founded Eickholt Glass in 1978. He became renowned worldwide for his intricately crafted paperweights, sculptures, and vessels until his retirement in 2013. Eickholt pieces are deeply collected due to his signature mastery of optical effects, controlled bubbles, metallic inclusions (like gold and silver foil), and rich oxides like cobalt and copper.
