"Provenance note: The subject, Miss Augusta W. Harrison (b. 1902), was a prominent Philadelphia Main Line debutante and granddaughter of University of Pennsylvania Provost Charles C. Harrison. The piece beautifully documents her horse 'Spotswood' and her active role in mid-1920s high-society equestrian culture."
