By adopting ordinary canned food commonly seen in American supermarkets as his subject, Warhol expressed his detached attitude toward industrial civilization and his unique perspective on everyday objects. It stands as one of the most stylish and critically symbolic artistic icons of the 20th century. Silkscreen printed Campbell's Soup shopping bags bearing the artist's hand-signed signature are exceptionally scarce. Andy Warhol, the towering master of American Pop Art, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1928, and passed away in New York on February 22, 1987. Recognized as one of the most legendary art figures of the 20th century, he was not only a pioneer of Pop Art but also a filmmaker, writer, rock composer and publisher ?? a star artist celebrated throughout New York's social and art circles. Warhol created over ten thousand artworks in his lifetime. Most are preserved in world-renowned museums and art institutions, while a small number have entered prestigious private collections via top international auction houses including Sotheby's and Christie's. Global art critics have commented on his legacy: His works convey irony and emotional detachment, depicting simple, repetitive everyday motifs that dismantle the boundary between the eternal and the mundane. He blurred the divisions between handcrafted art and mass production, Dadaism and Minimalism, painting and photography, canvas and film. He infused trivial worldly life with a sense of tragedy, while rendering dramatic tragedy commonplace. Warhol overturned the hierarchical definition of art, broke arbitrary boundaries of what can be defined as "art", and bridged the gap between highbrow refined art and grassroots popular art.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR CANCELLATIONS.

Condition and Authenticity:

Any statement in the catalogue, condition report, photographs, video, invoice, or other written or oral communication regarding the origin, date, age, attribution, authorship, authenticity, provenance, material, condition, or estimated selling price of any lot is a statement of opinion only.
