(Forest Sprite) by Paul Madrassi (1863?C1926. <br><br>H:47cm W:22cm<br>Late 19th-century French bronze sculpture titled Lutin des Bois (Forest Sprite) by sculptor Paul Madrassi. The inscribed plaque certifies that this work was awarded a medal at the Paris Salon. It depicts a winged woodland elf with a lithe, graceful youthful form and swirling ribbons, perched atop a rocky base adorned with blossoms and foliage. The figure boasts exquisite, lifelike anatomical detailing and carries an authentic antique bronze patina.
