Aristocrat-Commissioned 18K Four-Colour Gold Ring.

Ring Size: US 9.5-10 Wt:11.2g
Hand?fabricated entirely in 18K gold. On the left, the bouquet is composed of individually carved flowers and leaves rendered in multiple tonalities of gold, assembled and set to form a flower bed in full bloom. On the right, a white dove in mid?flight gazes toward another dove on the ground. The quiver and long bow of Cupid resting on the ground echo the doves, symbols of peace and love. The overall design is noble and artistic, embodying the elegance and romance of French royal taste. *(a quatre couleurs)*: In antique?jewellery terminology, it refers to a premium 19th?century French goldworking technique known as four?colour gold inlay. This craft assembles intricate motifs using four distinct gold colours (yellow, red, white, green?grey?black). It ranks among the signature techniques of the European Rococo Revival style.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR CANCELLATIONS.

Condition and Authenticity:

Any statement in the catalogue, condition report, photographs, video, invoice, or other written or oral communication regarding the origin, date, age, attribution, authorship, authenticity, provenance, material, condition, or estimated selling price of any lot is a statement of opinion only.
