Base, Unmarked. A well-turned decanter modeled as a mountain lion in mid-leap across a weathered log, jaws open and forelegs thrown forward. The painter worked the tawny coat in earnest detail, from the shaded flanks to the black-tipped tail, and the pose carries genuine motion. Measures approximately 11 inches long and 7 inches tall on an oval base; the head lifts away as the stopper and no maker's mark is legible in the photographs. See photos for exact size and condition.
