Weathered Log Base, Unmarked. A hand-painted porcelain decanter modeled as a mountain lion in mid-leap from a weathered log, jaws open and forepaws thrown forward. The modeling is capital work, and the painter did not stint on the mottled tawny coat. The head lifts away as the stopper upon a fitted collar. No maker's mark is visible in the photographs, so the maker is unidentified. Measures approximately 11 inches long and stands near 7 inches high. See photos for exact size and condition.
