TYDOL FLYING A - IT'S HERE Tide Water's Tydol gasoline and its winged Flying A emblem were fixtures of the American roadside in the 1930s and '40s, and this design captures the brand at its most optimistic: a biplane in flight and the announcement that the new fuel had arrived. Aviation imagery was the height of modern in 1936, and Tydol used it to promise power and progress at the pump. A striking piece for petroliana collectors, aviation fans, and anyone who loves the golden age of gas station graphics.
