A trio of vintage Russian decorative woodenware items featuring traditional Khokhloma-style lacquer work. The set includes a large lidded container in a barrel form and two shallow bowls. Each piece is decorated with hand-painted floral and foliate motifs in shades of red, green, and orange against a metallic gold-toned background, bordered by black and red accents. The underside of the barrel is stamped with MADE IN USSR in silver-toned lettering. One bowl retains a circular paper label with a stylized vessel logo and text reading MADE IN USSR and ART. 169c. The interiors of the bowls are finished in metallic gold, one with a central black floral medallion and the other with a multi-colored floral spray. Dimensions measured against a tape measure: Lidded barrel: height approx. 9.5 inches Black-rimmed bowl: diameter approx. 4.25 inches Red-rimmed bowl: diameter approx. 3.5 inches. Condition: The items are in good vintage condition. There is visible surface wear to the lacquer, including scattered scuffs, minor scratches, and small areas of finish loss, particularly along the rims and the body of the barrel. The painted decoration remains largely intact. No structural cracks or significant damage are observed.
