Antique Sterling-Mounted Stag Horn Carving Set

This antique 7-piece carving and serving set features natural stag horn (antler) handles fitted with embossed sterling silver ferrules and hallmarked sterling end caps stamped "STERLING" with a maker's mark. The steel honing steel is stamped"LEE'S", the bottle opener cap lifter features hallmarks, and the spring-assisted poultry/game shears are stamped "MAGNETIC CUTLERY CO. INC." on one side and "D. PERES SOLINGEN GERMANY" on the reverse. The set includes a large carving knife (14.5"overall with an 8.75" blade), a small carving knife (11" overall with a 5.25" blade), a 13" honing steel, a large carving fork with a hinged safety guard (11.5" overall), a small carving fork with a hinged safety guard (10.25" overall), 10.75" gameshears with serrated blades and a latch, and a 6" bottle opener. All seven pieces rest within an included wooden storage tray measuring 14.75" L x 10" W x 1.5" H. Condition exhibits authentic age patina, surface oxidation, staining, and light rust on steel blades/mechanisms, along with natural grain checking on horn handles and heavy antique wear to the wooden tray. Structural integrity remains sound.
