Manufactured by the Jasper Cabinet Company of Indiana, this vintage drop-front secretary desk features elaborate hand-painted Chinoiserie decorations over an "Olde Fruitwood" finish. The two-piece construction encompasses a lower four-drawer bureau with a fitted interior writing compartment, surmounted by an arched display hutch retaining its glass doors and interior shelving. Identifiable markings include the original factory label on the reverse, denoting Model Number 8220HD33 and Finish214. Notable structural elements include traditional Queen Anne style cabriole legs, brass batwing hardware, and dovetailed drawer joints. Condition reflects gentle prior use, displaying minor surface wear, light scuffing on the lower legs, and superficial finish scratches appropriate for its age. The hand-painted landscape and floral motifs remain vibrant, while the drop-front Dimensions are 78" H x 32" W x 17" D.
