Mid-20th Century Cedar-Lined Waterfall Hope Chest

A mid-20th-century hope chest featuring a characteristic waterfall top and a dark wood veneer exterior. The front facade is detailed with a central circular keyhole flanked by two decorative floral-motif metal medallions. The interior is constructed from aromatic Tennessee red cedar, with an original paper label affixed to the underside of the lid titled DIRECTIONS FOR STORAGE. The chest follows a rectangular form with a molded base and stylized bracket feet. Condition: The exterior shows significant surface scratches, scuffs, and wear to the finish throughout the top and sides. A strip of green tape with handwritten characters is present on the top surface. The interior appears well-preserved.
