A limited edition wildlife print titled Guarding The Innocent by artist John Petrella. The realist artwork depicts a bird of prey, possibly a hawk, tending to three downy white chicks in a nest built into the fork of a tree. The work is signed and dated John Petrella 1986 in the lower right of the image. The lower margin features the edition number 329/475 in pencil on the left, the title in the center, and a hand-signed pencil signature by the artist on the right. The piece is housed under glass with a light-colored textured mat in a dark wood frame featuring a gold-tone inner fillet. Condition: The print and matting appear to be in good condition, free of visible foxing or discoloration. The frame shows minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age.
