A Heywood-Wakefield wooden nightstand in the Early American style, featuring a two-drawer configuration above an open lower shelf. The piece is constructed with a rectangular top characterized by a raised edge and a decorative backsplash with an arched center and turned corner finials. The structure is supported by four turned legs with baluster motifs. The drawers are equipped with decorative metal willow-style pulls. The interior of a drawer displays a circular stamped maker mark with an eagle silhouette and the text HEYWOOD WAKEFIELD EST. 1826, followed by the text MADE IN CANADA BY KNECHTEL FURNITURE LIMITED. The nightstand is finished in a warm brown stain. Condition: Good overall condition with minor surface wear, including light scratches and scuffs to the top and edges, consistent with age and use.
