THREE VOLUMES - CHRISTMAS WITH SOUTHERN LIVING, 1984, 1985, AND 1990 - OXMOOR HOUSE HARDCOVERS Three more annual volumes of Christmas with Southern Living, published by Oxmoor House, Inc. of Birmingham, Alabama: the 1984, 1985, and 1990 editions. The 1984 volume retains its pictorial dust jacket, photographed front and back, showing a spread of vintage glass Christmas ornaments, beads, tinsel, a toy drum, and a bugle. The 1985 and 1990 volumes are the later format with the photograph printed and laminated directly onto the boards rather than on a separate jacket - 1985 with a swirl of red, green, and gold ribbons on a white ground, and 1990 with a candlelit still life of pillar candles, ivy, and dried red flowers against white drapery. All three have the series' red endpapers and the full-color interior layout: holiday decorating features, collection and ornament photography, craft and bazaar projects with full-size traceable patterns at the back, seasonal recipes with color food photography, and the "Christmas Journal" holiday planner with calendar, gift lists, size charts, and card lists. Bidders should note two condition points: the 1984 dust jacket is torn with paper loss at a corner, and the 1985 volume carries an ink signature on the front free endpaper. These volumes are wanted by collectors filling out a run of the annuals, by holiday cooks working from the tested recipes, and by anyone who likes the vintage-ornament photography in the 1984 edition.
