Three-piece lot of vintage Western belt buckles featuring detailed silver-tone engraving and raised gold-tone rodeo and ranch overlays. This group includes two marked Comstock Sterling Silver Silversmiths buckles, including a commemorative Thomas L. Hankson design, plus a rectangular engraved buckle with a raised diamond center. Included are: Comstock Sterling Silver Thomas L. Hankson buckle with a raised gold-tone cowboy on horseback roping a calf, engraved ranch and mountain scene, floral scrollwork, and visible wording that includes "THOMAS L. HANKSON." Reverse is marked "COMSTOCK / STERLING SILVER / SILVERSMITHS / COLUMBUS, MONT." with serial number J9571 107. Comstock Sterling Silver rodeo buckle with raised gold-tone bull-riding or bronc-riding scene, elaborate floral scroll engraving, rope border, and reverse mark "COMSTOCK / STERLING SILVER / SILVERSMITHS." Rectangular Western buckle with engraved scrollwork, rope-style edge, and a raised blank diamond-shaped center panel, suitable for personalization or engraving. All three retain belt-bar and hook-style fastening hardware. The Comstock buckles are substantial pieces, approximately 3 to 4 inches wide. Display stands are not included. Condition is used vintage, with visible tarnish, oxidation, dark spotting, finish wear, scratches, and age-related patina. The Thomas L. Hankson buckle shows particularly heavy discoloration and finish loss across the face and reverse; the other Comstock buckle also has notable tarnish and residue/oxidation. Hardware is present but has not been function tested. Please inspect all photographs carefully for exact condition, measurements, marks, and decorative details.
