Pair of Southern folk art face jugs, including a Dale Costner stoneware jug from Vale, North Carolina, and an Otis Norris jug from South Carolina. Costner’s piece features a bulbous face, blue alkaline glaze runs, oversized teeth, and a heavily textured beard, while Norris’s primitive brown-glazed jug features expressive eyes and an exaggerated toothy grin.
