Striking French studio art glass vase by Marie-Alice Giraud, featuring a tall tapered form with vibrant lime green and purple coloration accented by abstract white, red, green and violet glass inclusions. The layered decoration creates a colorful painterly effect throughout the body. Signed "Marie Alice" on the underside. Good overall condition with light surface wear. Please review photos for details. 9" x 4". Marie-Alice Giraud (France, 20th/21st century) is a French glass artist associated with COLVER and the Verrerie de Soisy-sur-Ecole. She directed the Soisy glassworks for approximately 34 years and became known for colorful contemporary studio glass. Giraud was named a Chevalier of the French National Order of Merit in recognition of her career in glassmaking.
