Collection of early world postage stamps dating primarily from the first half of the 20th century, housed in a vintage ring-bound stamp album that is approximately 40% filled. The collection includes numerous used and unused stamps from Germany, Great Britain, France, Newfoundland and other countries, with German material particularly well represented. Notable groups include German Empire and Weimar-era issues, inflation-period denominations, airmail stamps, British King George V issues, French stamps, and Newfoundland commemorative and pictorial issues. Many stamps have handwritten catalog numbers and values beside them. Also included is an assortment of vintage First Day Covers and commemorative envelopes, primarily from the 1940s, featuring various U.S. historical anniversaries, exhibitions, statehood commemorations and other events.
