Decorative set of three vintage Chinoiserie glass placemats or serving trays, each featuring paired figures in traditional Chinese court dress. The set includes richly detailed male and female figures wearing elaborate robes in red, blue, green and black, including a pair of ladies depicted holding floral fans. Each rectangular panel has rounded corners with a gilt-tone border and a distinctive ivory/cream crackle-effect ground, giving the pieces an intentionally aged decorative appearance. The finely rendered figures and overall aesthetic draw upon traditional Chinese court portraiture and export-inspired Chinoiserie decoration.
