George Frederick Jr. (1907-1977) Davant, LA Hen 14.5" Drake 16" George Ross Starr (1915-1985) visited the Mandeville decoy show in the early 1970's and met local carvers and collectors including Frederick where it is likely that he picked up this pair of decoys. Earlier tack eyes and deep relief carving where the face meets the bill. Raised carved wings with both having the Starr collection stamp on the underside.Condition: Original paint with even scattered wear from use throughout.
