Ferman Eyre (1882-1969) Brockville, Ontario, Canada 17.25" long Historically mallards were not plentiful bounty on the St. Lawrence river and so there are very few period mallards. This decoy likely didn't start it's life as a mallard, but appears to have original Ferman repaint as a mallard drake. Still making it part of a rare group of working mallards from the region. The carving has his classic thick bill with protruding bill nail and glass eyes. The sides have scratch loop featheringCondition: Mix of original and working paint
