E.S. Stofer (1886-1958) Kansas City, MO 5.75" E. Stofer KCMO stamped on side of barrels. One burled and one regular. Burled call has matching number 44 insert and wedge block Though little is known about Dr. Stofer himself, who served as a medic in World War I, his calls are incredibly collectible and well known for the volume they were made in. Stofer based his highly popular metal reed calls on a style forged by Tom Turpin (1871-1957). Stofer produced the vast majority of his calls from the 30's through early 50's, during which calls in this style were highly popular with hunters. Stofer sold the calls directly and had advertised in numerous sporting publications at the time. MO 22 & 17Condition: Excellent and originalProvenance: Picone Family Collection
