Joe Fallon (1899-1974) Havre de Grace, Maryland 5.25" long Joe Fallon of Havre de Grace devoted his retirement to carving miniature wildfowl, drawing upon a lifelong familiarity with the ducks and waterfowl of the Susquehanna Flats and Eastern Shore. Primarily carving flying and standing ducks, Fallon developed a distinctive style and became known for his finely detailed miniatures. His work was encouraged by R. Madison Mitchell and remains a distinctive part of the Havre de Grace carving tradition. Bold paint with raised wing tips, carved bills and painted eyes.
