Winchester Model 88 lever-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, Serial No. 222548A. Manufactured in 1968, the Model 88 is one of Winchester’s more distinctive sporting rifles, combining the fast handling of a lever action with a rotating-bolt design and detachable box magazine. Its streamlined receiver and modern-for-its-era construction set it apart from Winchester’s traditional tubular-magazine lever rifles. This firearm is in very nice overall condition, showing only a few light marks consistent with typical field use. The wood and metal finishes present well for the rifle’s age, with only minor handling wear noted. The rifle is accompanied by its factory box and is equipped with a Redfield 3-9x scope. Also included are a leather sling and one detachable magazine, making this a particularly complete and appealing Model 88 package.
