Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, Serial No. S248870. Built on Smith & Wesson’s substantial N-frame, the Highway Patrolman was designed as a more utilitarian counterpart to the highly polished Model 27 while retaining the strength and classic lines of Smith & Wesson’s large-frame .357 Magnum revolvers. This firearm features a desirable 4-inch barrel along with the classic pinned barrel and recessed cylinder configuration associated with earlier Smith & Wesson production. It retains its traditional blued finish, fixed sights, exposed hammer, and wood grips. The revolver is in very good overall condition, showing only a few light marks on the metal from normal handling and use. The grips are also in good condition and complement the firearm well.
