This heavy-duty antique Canadian National Railways (CNR) switch lantern was produced by The Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd. in Montreal. Constructed from durable heavy-gauge steel in a black finish, the lantern features large glass signal lenses, including prominent blue/teal optics, and a top bail carrying handle.The unit has been retrofitted with an electric power cord for accent/decorative lighting display. It presents in solid vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, light finish scuffs, and minor patina.
